Original Animation Excellence Bridges Global Collaboration: Zoland Animation Makes Another Splash at MIPCOM 2025
October 14, 2025

On October 13 (local time), the 41st MIPCOM officially opened. As one of the largest and most influential global media and content business markets, under the theme of “Creator Economy”, this year’s MIPCOM aims to explore the new opportunities and models emerging in the ecosystem of content creation, and it attracted leading professionals from more than 100 countries and regions. Zoland Animation has participated in MIPCOM for the past 21 years, and this year, it presented various original animations, including Magic Eye, Legend of King Qian, and Legendary Su Dongpo and made its debut at the China Pavilion. Jia Wu, the chairman, led the global business team to participate in on-site events and themed presentations, showing the unique appeal and dynamic growth of Chinese animations to the world. The event will last until October 16.

On October 13, the China Pavilion held a key event, “China Film and Television Showcase”. This showcase presented the newest high-quality Chinese film and television works and innovative technology, attracting buyers, licensors, and producers from all over the world. At the event, Zoland Animation presented the original adventure animation Legend of King Qian. Inspired by the legendary life of Qian Liu, the founder of the Wuyue Kingdom, the work seamlessly blends profound historical storytelling with Eastern aesthetics. Showcasing rich Chinese cultural heritage, it has attracted significant attention from markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

In addition to Legend of King Qian, Zoland Animation also presented original classic animations including Legendary Su Dongpo and Magic Eye Is Back. High-quality preschool IPs such as Rubi and Yoyo, Betsy the Bear Car, and Panda Fanfare and animated short videos such as Nibatuo, the Little Master, are gaining overseas popularity as well.

With its rich original content portfolio and extensive experience in multilingual distribution, Zoland Animation has attracted numerous international buyers. The company’s booth drew strong attention throughout the exhibition, attracting broadcasters, streaming platforms, and distributors from Europe, Asia, North America, and beyond for discussions on potential partnerships. Through effective professional matchmaking, Zoland Animation has established preliminary cooperation plans with media organisations from various countries and regions, including France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Russia. Moreover, it has reached substantive cooperation agreements with several platforms on animation content partnerships, providing a strong foundation for its continued expansion in global markets.

The trip to France marked an important step in Zoland Animation’s continued efforts to advance the “Going Global” strategy for original Chinese animation. As Samantha Wong, the  Director of Global Division, noted, MIPCOM is a bellwether of the global film & TV content industry. In the future, Zoland Animation will stick to its strategy of producing high-quality original works. Through animation, Zoland Animation will continue to bridge China and the world, tell compelling Chinese stories, develop globally influential animation IPs, and bring more outstanding animated works rooted in Chinese culture to audiences around the globe.
