From May 28 to 29, the International Animation & Game Business Conference (iABC 2025) – the core business section of the 21st China International Cartoon & Animation Festival – was successfully held in Hangzhou. The event brought together nearly 1,000 leading enterprises, experts and scholars, academic representatives, and heads of professional institutions from over 30 countries and regions across the animation and gaming industries, engaging in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge industry trends and jointly exploring pathways for innovative development. Opening a New Chapter. On the morning of May 28, the iABC 2025 Opening Ceremony & Project Release Conference was held as part of the 21st China International Cartoon & Animation Festival. Wu Jia, a member of the Leading Group of the National Cultural Export Base – Zhejiang Digital Culture International Cooperation Zone and Chairwoman of Zhejiang Zoland Animation Co., Ltd., attended the conference, participated in the iABC 2025 launch ceremony, presented certificates to the top ten finalists of the Animation Venture Capital Conference, and, as a representative of the industry, opened the Vocational Education Week series organized by the Art Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. Shen Yuliang, General Manager of Zoland Animation, presented plaques to the representatives of the colleges nominated for the "Top 50 Vocational Education Animation Enterprises" award by the Ministry of Education's Art Steering Committee.
During the Project Release session, Kou Kaiyuan, Operations Director of Zhejiang Zoland Leyou Brand Management Co., Ltd., delivered an insightful case study presentation titled YIMO Growth Record: The Operational Code from IP Incubation to Full Industry Chain Breakthrough. The presentation vividly illustrated the immense potential and practical experience of deeply integrating quality content with sustainable business models.
Exchange Fosters Collaboration. On the afternoon of May 28, the Animation Venture Capital Conference, themed "Gathering New Strength, Creating the Future," was successfully held. After a rigorous preliminary selection, ten finalist projects delivered on-site roadshows for final evaluation. Industry experts and investment institutions assessed the entries based on creativity, artistry, and other criteria to identify high-quality projects. Zoland Animation's Legend of King Qian was successfully shortlisted, and the project team presented a comprehensive overview of how the project applies modern storytelling to traditional culture, integrates technological innovation to create an audiovisual feast, and advances the industrial pathway for cultural tourism IP development. That evening, at the "National Animation Night" networking gala, Shen Yuliang delivered a speech and presented awards to the winning projects of the Venture Capital Conference.
Deep Integration of Industry and Education. iABC 2025 introduced its first industry-education integration segment, hosting a series of Vocational Education Week activities organized by the Art Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. On May 29, the "New Animation · Going Global with Enterprises along the Silk Road" – the Vocational Education Week Industry-Education Integration Conference, themed "Showcasing Achievements, Promoting Integration, and Facilitating Global Expansion," was grandly held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education's Art Steering Committee. Wu Jianrong and Wu Jia attended as distinguished guests, and Shen Yuliang presented awards to the outstanding enterprises recognized as "Top 50 Vocational Education Animation Companies." A representative from Zoland Animation delivered a presentation titled Empowering with Digital Intelligence, Innovating Industry-Education Integration – Building a Future Talent Ecosystem for the Animation Industry, which received high recognition from the attending academic representatives.
In addition, Zoland Animation's business team also participated in the China-Russia Animation Exchange Day, engaged in exchanges with the Russian delegation, the Korean delegation, and the Hong Kong (China) delegation, and took part in one-on-one business matching sessions, holding in-depth discussions with domestic and international television stations, media outlets, distributors, industry associations, and potential partners – achieving notable results.
