Recently, the highly anticipated 6th China-France Cultural Forum was held in France. The forum aimed to deepen exchanges and cooperation between China and France in the fields of culture, art, education, and beyond, jointly promoting the prosperity and development of both nations' cultures. Approximately 200 guests attended the opening ceremony, including Ding Zhongli, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China and President of the Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA); Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former Prime Minister of France and President of the Fondation Prospective et Innovation; Lu Shaye, Chinese Ambassador to France; and Philippe Augier, Mayor of Deauville, among other distinguished representatives from various sectors of both countries.

Wu Wei, President of Zhejiang Zhongnan Group, and Wu Jia, Executive Vice President of the Group and Chairwoman of Zoland Animation, were invited by the organizer — the Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA) — to attend this cultural event, joining cultural luminaries, government officials, and business elites from both China and France. Wu Jia delivered a brilliant speech at the Theater and Film Forum, which received widespread acclaim.

Zhongnan Group has always been committed to telling China's stories well and promoting the finest of traditional Chinese culture, viewing international cultural exchange as a key driver of corporate development. For this reason, Wu Wei gladly accepted the invitation to the China-France Cultural Forum, hoping to seize this valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of French culture and arts, explore new avenues for Sino-French cultural cooperation, and jointly advance the prosperity of both cultures. During the forum, President Wu Wei held in-depth discussions with numerous figures from the French cultural sector, seeking to identify further collaboration opportunities. He stated that Zhongnan Group is eager to actively build a platform for Sino-French cultural exchange, promote deeper cooperation between the two countries in fields such as theater, film, and music, and jointly create more internationally influential cultural masterpieces. Wu Wei's positive approach and openness were widely praised by members of the French cultural community, who expressed their anticipation for closer collaboration with Zhongnan Group to jointly promote the thriving development of cultural industries in both China and France.

Meanwhile, Wu Jia delivered a keynote speech at the Theater and Film Forum. She recalled Zoland Animation's journey since its first participation in MIPTV in Cannes, France, in 2005 – where it was the only Chinese animation company to exhibit – and its 20 consecutive years of participation in the event. Wu Jia noted that Zoland Animation has been using animation to preserve and pass on traditional Chinese opera, having animated 34 classic opera excerpts, giving new vitality to traditional culture. To date, the company has produced a cumulative total of 25 genres, 61 titles, and 170,000 minutes of original animation, which have been distributed to broadcasting systems in over 130 countries and regions. The first season of its new masterpiece, Legendary Su Dongpo, is also set to be released this year, further promoting international cultural exchange around Su Dongpo's legacy. Over the past two decades, Zoland Animation has adhered to its "going global" strategy, actively exploring international markets. It also operates the nation's first cultural export zone focused on digital cultural trade – the Zhejiang Digital Culture International Cooperation Zone – supporting SMEs in their international exchange and collaboration efforts. Zoland Animation is also a key participant in the China International Cartoon & Animation Festival. Looking ahead, Zoland Animation looks forward to broader cooperation with outstanding companies, institutions, and creators from France and other countries, bringing rich cultural experiences and spiritual enrichment to audiences around the world.

In the future, Zhongnan Group will continue to uphold its philosophy of "openness, inclusiveness, cooperation, and win-win outcomes," actively advancing its internationalization strategy, promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and France in culture, arts, education, and beyond, and contributing to the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.
