June 07, 2024

In June, Zhejiang Digital Culture International Cooperation Zone, together with the leading enterprise, Zoland Animation and other enterprises, will show their works at international exhibitions, including Rio2C, Brazil; Telefilm Vietnam; and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market.

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil, the cooperation zone participated in the China Pavilion from June 4 to 9. It made a strong showing at Rio2C, South America’s largest creative and innovation event, where it showcased and promoted outstanding Chinese film and television works. It also participated in the “Seeing China” – Culture and Business Possibilities Forum & China Program Showcase, guided by the State Council Information Office and the State Administration of Radio and Television and hosted by China Broadcasting International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co. Ltd. Founded in 2010, Rio2C has become the largest and most influential comprehensive audiovisual display platform in South America, covering areas such as program trading, music creativity, and intelligent terminal applications. This year, the event attracted more than 200 television stations, production institutions, and enterprises from around the world.

From June 6th to June 8th, the cooperation zone will attend Telefilm Vietnam 2024 with its tenants and works. Telefilm Vietnam 2024 gathered various leading companies, producers and providers in the field of television and technology from both Vietnam and other countries. It is also a trading venue for technology, content, creative application equipment and related services, attracting more than 300 companies from 25 countries and regions to showcase content creation, scripts, equipment & technology, games, publication, post-production, and assistive technology. From June 11th to 14th, Jia Wu, Member of the Work Leading Group of Zhejiang Digital Culture International Cooperation Zone and Chairman of Zoland Animation, will attend the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market and present flagship works.

This is part of the cooperation zone’s plan to attend more than 20 international exhibitions this year. It will present flagship animations including Magic Eye Is Back, Rubi and Yoyo, Legendary Su Dongpo, Doggy Adventure, My Name is MT: Come Back, Magic City, as well as film & television productions including The Grandmaster of Kungfu, Legend of Chang Sheng, and Beyond the Trophy. These works will be frequently showcased at various international exhibitions, aiming to enhance their global visibility. As demonstrated by the Report of the Global Expansion of China Animations (2023), animation has become an important content category in China’s audiovisual exports, with the domestic animation industry showing strong momentum. Looking ahead, Zhejiang Digital Culture International Cooperation Zone will actively support the creation of high-quality audiovisual works, promote co-production collaborations, and facilitate the coordinated development of digital cultural trade and industry.
