A train ride heading north brings three misguided people together: Lek, a young monk who is the son of a wealthy China-town gold shop owner, Pon, a down-on-his-luck man who was recently fired from his job, and Tangmo, a broken hearted girl who wants to go back to her hometown. The 3 join forces with the temple to help poor villagers, but when a thief comes to reclaim gold that he buried under the temple ground, they need to find a way to save the temple.
