On July 24th, Minghua Hong, Vice President of MediaCorp and Jiayan Deng, Director of the China team, visited the Zhejiang Digital Culture International Cooperation Zone, a National Cultural Export Base, for research and exchange. Jia Wu, Member of the Work Leading Group of Zhejiang Digital Culture International Cooperation Zone and Chairman of Zoland Animation, and Yuliang Shen, Deputy Office Director of the Work Leading Group of Zhejiang Digital Culture International Cooperation Zone and General Manager of Zoland Animation, warmly welcomed them.
Minghua Hong and her delegation visited the exhibition hall of Zoland Animation, where they gained an in-depth understanding of the company's development, its works, industry layout, its rich achievements in digital technology innovation, and the development and operation of the Cooperation Zone. Moreover, they participated in activities such as the AR interactive game, opening the AICG Time Door, and interacting with the digital person, Dongpo Su.
In the symposium, Jia Wu warmly welcomed the MediaCorp delegation and introduced the development of Zoland Animation. Jia Wu said that Zoland Animation regularly participated in national and international exhibitions and has rich platform resources. She also introduced the establishment and operation of the National Cultural Export Base, Zhejiang Digital Culture International Cooperation Zone, as well as the operation of China International Cartoon & Animation Festival and iABC. She expressed her hope to further communicate with “Belt and Road” countries such as Singapore and enhance cooperation.
Yuliang Shen reviewed the previous cooperation with MediaCorp. In March 2006, Zoland Animation’s original animated series Magic Eye premiered overseas on MediaCorp Channel 8. Since then, works including Magic Eye: Little Prodigy. Galaxy Racer, Zheng He's voyages, and the Rubi and Yoyo series have all been broadcast on MediaCorp’s media platforms. In 2020, Magic Eye Is Back was launched on MediaCorp’s TV channels, MediaCorp 8 and MediaCorp 5, and its new media platforms. Having Singapore as a gateway, Zoland Animation has been actively promoting international cooperation in digital content such as animation. In accordance with the “510 Integration and Development Project”, Zhejiang Digital Culture International Cooperation Zone will further promote the collaborative development of the digital industry and trade. It also looks forward to deepening collaboration with MediaCorp and promoting international exchanges and cooperation in the digital cultural sector.
Minghua Hong said, amid the ongoing development of the international content market, MediaCrop is transforming as well. Zoland Animation’s inspiring digital cultural achievements bring new insights. The brand-new immersive and interactive experience can attract more young people. Looking ahead, with their strengths, the two parties can further exchange and deepen cooperation.
