In 1405, the Ming Dynasty emperor
appointed the eunuch Zheng He
as Admiral of a huge fleet to sail into the uncharted western
seas. The whole China was shocked by
the news. The voyage mobilized more
than twenty thousand people, hundreds
of gigantic vessels, embarking on a
long, hard expedition to the vast outer seas
- what an unprecedented feat! With his commanders
and over twenty thousand soldiers and
countless cattle, sheep, rice and gifts, Zheng He started the historic glorious
journey. An adventure of epic proportions awaits.
